My name is Captain Ronnie Faircloth and I've been fishing for over 40 years. I've fished for bream, largemouth bass, catfish, white bass, crappie and many different species in the ocean, but there is no greater thrill than catching a striped bass on a light tackle. I've fished the east coast from Virginia to the west all the way to Texas for a fish people call rockfish (stripers). My biggest striper came from Virginia in February of 2010 and it weighed-in at fifty-five pounds. When I'm not traveling through other states fishing for stripers, I'm fishing on Lake Murray in Columbia, SC, where I've lived for 18 years. Of all the places I have fished, I've never found any lake more beautiful than Lake Murray. Lake Murray has everything any fisher could want for the perfect day of fishing. From the beautiful sunrises and sunsets to the beautiful homes that dot the shoreline, Lake Murray has something for everyone.
When I first started fishing on Lake Murray I had a sixteen foot bass boat and it didn't take me long to realize that it wasn't the boat I needed for striper fishing. After about 10 different boats and 18 years of striper fishing, I now have

After all these years of guiding, I still get just as excited when I find fish and my party catches them, just like when I was a boy fishing with my Daddy in North Carolina farm ponds.
